Speech Made Easy was founded in 2023 and is owned by Hannah Joseph, an independent Speech and Language Therapist. Hannah is passionate about working with and supporting children and young people to develop and improve their speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). She recently won the 2026/2027 Prestige Award for 'Speech Therapist of the year'. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication that Hannah has shown since Speech Made Easy was launched in 2023.

Hannah has over 6 years of experience working in the NHS, private practice and within the education sector. She has a good understanding of how the NHS and private sector works in regards to Special Education Needs (SEN) referrals. Through her experience, Hannah has had the opportunity to work with children and young people aged 4- 16 years old. These opportunities take place in clinics, mainstream schools and specialist provision.

Hannah's goal is to help make a difference in the lives of children and young people, no matter what their speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) are. Her mission statement is to 'support, develop and aim to change the lives' of children and young as well as their families.

To further develop her skills and enable her to work successfully with children, Hannah has completed training in the Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support (SCERTs) framework model.

What is SCERTs

SCERTS® Model is a research-based educational approach and multidisciplinary framework. It directly addresses the core challenges faced by children and people with ASD and related disabilities, as well as their families.

SCERTS® focuses on building competence in Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support as the highest priorities that must be addressed in any program. It is applicable for individuals with a wide range of abilities and ages across home, school and community settings (https://scerts.com).

Hannah can work with and support children and young people with the following difficulties:

Attention and Listening.
Children with an Autism Diagnosis (within mainstream and Specialist Provisions).
Language delays / disorders.
Speech sound delay/disorders.
Social and Emotional needs (e.g., understanding and regulating emotions).

Hannah has training in the following areas:

Autism Awareness (Level 3).
Introduction to and working with pupils on the autistic spectrum for primary mainstream colleagues.
Makaton (Level 1 and 2).
SCERTs framework model.
Attention Autsim

Accreditation

You can be assured, that your child will receive a highest level of therapy experience. As a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, Hannah holds a BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy, obtained at Birmingham City University (BCU).

Hannah is a registered member of:

- Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy (RCSLT)

- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

- Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).

- Federation for small Businesses.
